Boss SR Mag (40 Gallon Brine System)
Quick overview of the new Boss SR Mag brine system. It has improved from the original Boss Snowrator and is a great option for those looking to hold a larger 40 gallons of brine. As long as the pump can hold up it is a great option if you run brine systems instead of salt.

Metal Pless PLSS 0830-13LE (Live Edge) on a Bobcat T76 Tracked Skid Steer. Would not equip the Live edge model on a T66 Bobcat. The T76 works perfect with this size plow and live edge. Hope this help if you are in the market! Plow is Amazing.

Testing out the V Plow on a Boss SR Mag on a closed road. Road had been wind blown and left for awhile. Relief cuts and full cuts. Plow tends to bounce when taking a relief cut. Enjoy. Plow Purchased at Dark Horse Truck Outfitters in Bozeman MT.

Bobcat T76 equipped with a Metal Pless PLSS 0830-13LE. This is a brand new setup for me so I'm learning the plow and the machine. This is not the most efficient way to plow this lot. I was just having some fun and enjoying watching this Live Edge system at work. Video is 2x speed. Feel free to speed it up or slow it down in the lower settings on UA-cam.

only 8psi of boost?? no wonder this thing is slow
The audio on this is perfect!
2009 850xp sportsman just now changing belt .original belt .
You can hold that brake a bit longer, get those RPMs up to launch and let it hit the limiter, then release.
Thank you for putting this out, I have been trying to find info about the brine system since I plan to buy this setup next season and this is the perfect video, does boss give you any info on how much brine it puts out? (i.e. for pretreat use X setting, for post treat use X setting) or do you just have to figure it out yourself? I have tried contacting boss and they haven't given me any useful information. Also, how long did it take you to do those parking spots?
They have some info on their website but not specifically what mode gives you how much coverage. You’ll figure out when using it how much you’re going to need to put down based on the storm rolling in or that rolled through. Parking spots took no time at all. Probably 1-2 minutes for both areas. Given you run through a full tank in 7 minutes at full blast you can empty a tank pretty fast on a lot at full pressure. The mag having more speed is really nice to get it done quick. Didn’t have a camera on me to film it when I applied it on the lot. With those parking spots and front walk way I easily used 3/4 of a tank very quickly at full pressure and speed. I did use a lot more on the front walk.
@@AutoPilotMT Great! Thank you so much! After seeing your videos, it confirmed my decision to get one next season. How do you transport it, truck bed?
@craigschwent8698 I transport it on a flat bed trailer with my skid. I would need a really long ramp to get it into my truck bed and ramps get sketchy when it’s icy/wet.
@@AutoPilotMT Awesome, thanks for the heads up.
Does this machine with snow thrower perform on gravel without jamming up or shearing bolts ?
Unfortunately I do not know. I use it primarily on asphalt and concrete.
Shame your front plow frame wasn't sprung like a motorcycle swing arm providing down pressure, then when lifting, hydraulic cylinder would overcome. I guess a double acting cylinder is too expensive 😞
They have outrigger switches also that can be used for turning the wipers on and off
How hard is it to reach other side bolts?
How do you like the controls on the skid for the metal press?
that movement would drive me nuts
I noticed Fisher now has a similar plow to the Speedwing and Prodigy, the XRS. Currently, it's only available skid steer type equipment. Hopefully it'll be available for trucks soon. I have all Fisher and want to keep the versatility of being able to swap plows and trucks as needed.
It only took 8 20V batteries to make this 30 second video
I’d like to see this in action !!!! Beefy!

Sorry, but that 0,3cm snow aint shi...
I am considering the boss straight plow for my atv. Would you recommend steel or poly blade and why?
I love that it can Back Drag pretty well! I am considering the boss straight plow for my ATV. Would you recommend steel or poly and why?
How much was it?
well it beats a shovel. a 4wheeler that goes 50 mph ya works great till you put someone on it and wants to plow at 40 and it hits something and stops and the rider goes to the Emergency room
I have a regular moose plow. We don't get a lot of snow but I started doing some driveways. Yes my plow worked fine for the little I did but would u recommend buying a used 1.
You have mastered snow removal! Very very impressive!
The sno power makes it easy! 😁
The first drag pro is junk 16’
Agreed 😂
Nices plow dude
Thats pretty fantastic!!
Have you considered putting that plow on a stand on mower? Seems it might be more Nimble and maneuverable then the atv?
I believe a few people have put one on a stand on. Not positive but I’m sure someone has. You can put it on anything you want if you create the mount for it.
If it costs more than a 100$, l will stay with my "Home-made" One that is "Rubber-Band" Powered.
How do you like the brine system and blower together? Was thinking about having that as my combo as well.
It sure beats shoveling
Skitzo camera work. Wish they would of been classy and included the double charger. Mine will be here tomorrow.
How is price ?
What happens to the four wheeler
It would be nice to see it work in -30C with 1 foot of snow.
Even qoth no snow, it still does not scrape the driveway clean and it dusts the areas you did clean with the auger spinning. Grrrr
Who care!
wouldnt matter to me Id rather use a utility trailer than wreck my truck
You should make a video when actually get some snow to move....
see the 1/4" gap under the cutting edge? that is a mfg. flaw that mine also had and when the dealer couldn't "fix" it a metalpless rep came out and looked at it and then when he said he would look into a fix, he ghosted me. no lie. great product usually with HORRIBLE customer support.
Very much appreciate the feedback! Had no idea about it. Been working great so far. I will look more into it. Thank you!
I know you don’t have this set up any more but how long were those ramps you used to get snow rator into truck?
10 foot. It definitely could have used another foot or two.
That corner of the house tho. Skillz
🤘
a lot of extra work you caused yourself with your paths
Yep, I usually change my plan of attack throughout the season to make things exciting and new. If it takes me an extra couple swipes here and there I am ok with it. Just having fun and enjoying life. Worth the extra time and swipes. 👍 always learning when you change things up.
How do you like the SR MAG? live up to the hype? Pros? Cons? How is it for driveways and the sidewalk? How long did it actually take for this and would you buy it again?
It’s too soon to tell. Don’t have enough time on it. So far it’s awesome. Huge step up from original snowrator. Having a broom is amazing. Being able to have different attachments and changing them quick is fantastic. Larger fuel tank is everything, I don’t worry about fuel ever anymore. Larger engine and speed is amazing. I would buy it again. It’s not perfect but it does a damn good job so far 🤞 I would take an enclosed tractor over it for sidewalks but I wouldn’t be able to fit it on my trailer with the skid. If I had to do it over I would skip the v plow and just get a broom and blower for attachments. Took under 10 minutes to complete this property and I could do it quicker. Needs factory heated hand grips standard. Pre wired for them but not offered yet. Strobes are also pre wired but not offered by boss. Needs a little more counter weight at time in the rear. And the light switch needs to be flipped because your hand will hit it off all the time. Also it’s impossible to see the little screen while running it because the plastic overhangs to much impeding your vision of it. Not a big deal but annoying. Tie down points are also awesome to have for transporting.
@@AutoPilotMT Thank you so much! Been trying to decide whether or not to get one. Why no V-Plow? I've been using the original Snowrator, and it's a pain to use. Edit: with the broom, how long is it? And with the snowblower? Does the snowblower work pretty good?
Awesome 👏🏻 what camera
Insta 360 X3, way better then GoPro 360.
Looking good!!! We see a Plow Right Marking Stake!!!😊😊😊
Absolutely! Loving the blue 🙌
Does the boss plow mount as easy as the Polaris glacier plow mount?
Love it. Using a 2023 Polaris 850. Only have the Polaris plow for now but I love it. I’ll upgrade to the boss as soon as this one is no longer good.
Thanks for posting this video! I'm a two man winter crew. Do you think this can handle clearing a small 6 car lot. I don't have a plow on my truck. We are just snow blowers right now but I'm looking for something to help with slushy days amd long driveways
It has a top speed of 5mph. It might be a bit slow but it’s definitely significantly faster than shovels. Biggest thing you’ll need to consider is price. 13k+ base. You could get a nice ATV and plow for half the price. You’ll just have to see if all the features are worth it on this machine compared to anything else
With having both the brush & v-plow for the SR Mag, is there one you prefer to use? And how do you like the machine? Pros & cons? I was thinking of buying one but was told by some people there are some flaws that need to be worked out first and to just stick with the original snowrator for now (which can be a giant pain in the butt to start in a storm)
lol the music makes it sound like they are doing something hardcore
Does it give more consistent completion times vs regular back-dragging plows, or does big snow really slow the process down?
🤷♂️ depends on the operator and sites you are plowing. I’m sure they are all very close in completion times with small accounts no matter what the depth is.
